For high school teams across the state, the last week of regular season football is upon us before selection Sunday on October 22nd, and teams are all jockeying for playoff seeding or spots in the final field of 288 teams. Grand Rapids is one of those places where much of the action is taking place, with the region playing host to 12 teams in the MaxPreps Michigan top 25, including top ranked Rockford. Both 23rd ranked Portland and 25th ranked Mona Shores are new additions to the top 25 this week, having jumped up the rankings 12 and 19 spots, respectively, following big week 8 wins.
